Current status of the project

  • FuelWorld is a personal project of its owner and is free to use.
  • The website does not show paid advertising and has no affiliate links or sponsorships.
  • The project does not earn any revenue.
  • There is no incorporated company: the owner is a private individual.

As of the last update of this page, FuelWorld is a free service with no economic activity. These texts will be reviewed before introducing advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, paid services or any substantial change to the purpose of the project.

Purpose of the website

FuelWorld compares fuel prices at service stations in Spain. It shows, on a map and in lists, the prices published by the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO), Spain's Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, to help you find where to fill up.

Terms of use

Access to FuelWorld is free and requires no registration. By using the website you accept these terms. You agree to use it lawfully and, in particular, not to:

  • try to access restricted areas or bypass request limits or other security measures;
  • carry out massive or automated extraction that harms the operation of the service;
  • use the website or its data for unlawful purposes or in a way that misleads others.

The owner may change, suspend or withdraw the website, or any of its features, at any time without notice. The website is not guaranteed to be continuously available or error-free.

Data source and reuse

  • Prices and service station data come from the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO) and are reused under the general reuse conditions published in the legal notice of its open data portal (additional reference: datos.gob.es/avisolegal).
  • The source is cited with the wording “Origen de los datos: Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico” (“Data source: Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge”) and the date of the last update of the data is shown.
  • FuelWorld does not alter the meaning of the information. Prices are only formatted for display; those that fail basic quality checks (for example, out-of-range values) are not published.
  • FuelWorld is not linked to, sponsored or endorsed by the Ministry or by any public body.
  • The Ministry is not responsible for any use made of the data and does not guarantee its continuity or that it is error-free.
  • FuelWorld does not use any logos, trademarks or distinctive signs of the Ministry.

About the prices

Prices come from the data published by the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO) on the Geoportal Gasolineras, which in turn collects the information reported by the service stations themselves. FuelWorld downloads that data periodically; it is not updated in real time.

  • The data may contain errors, omissions or delays, both at the source and in its processing.
  • Each price shows the date of the data according to the source. If FuelWorld's last successful update is more than 8 hours old, prices are flagged as “old data”; after 48 hours they are considered expired and shown with a warning.
  • Prices are for information only. The price that applies is the one shown at the pump when you fill up: always check it at the station.
  • FuelWorld does not sell fuel or act on behalf of any station. There is no contractual relationship between FuelWorld and the service stations, nor between FuelWorld and the people who refuel there.

Third-party trademarks

The names, signs and trademarks of the service stations and their operators belong to their respective owners. They are shown only to identify each station, as they appear in the public data. FuelWorld is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them, and does not use their official logos.

Intellectual property

The software, design, original texts and the FuelWorld name belong to its owner. They may not be copied or reused without permission, except as allowed by law.

Price and station data belong to their source and are reused under its terms. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, served by OpenFreeMap. Other third-party components (software libraries, typeface) keep their own licences.

External links

The website links to third-party sites, such as Google Maps and Apple Maps, which open when you click “Directions” or “Open in Apple Maps”, the data sources or the map credits. FuelWorld does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability or handling of data.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts that have jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
